The Tang style hanfu is the jewel of Chinese dress culture, Tang style hanfu has been loved by people all over the world since it was created in the 7th century A.D., and is still the best-selling variety to this day because of its open and inclusive style. The Tang style hanfu is best known for Qixiong hanfu, or we call it breast-high hanfu. This style is still the first choices for many young ladies.

The design of the “Mist Lotus” hanfu is inspired by the elegance of lotus flowers and the trending "Maillard tones" popular in autumn and winter fashion.

Originally a term from food science, the Maillard reaction refers to the browning process when raw meat cooks—creating rich, warm shades. In fashion, it describes outfits built around deep brown tones. These earthy colors complement warm, yellow-toned skin beautifully, adding depth and a sense of sophistication without looking dull.

This hanfu’s straight-collar top uses this palette: a warm brown inner layer paired with a structured sheer black overlay, delicately embroidered to complete that refined early-autumn Maillard-inspired look.
